Vintage Columbian 4 1/2 inch Vice

This 204 1/2 Columbian vice has 4 1/2. inch wide jaws and opens up to about 5 inches between the jaws .It has a swivel base that locks with one 7/8 inch nut.The main screw to be in good shape.As. you can see the movable jaw has been broken and bronze brazed back together. It seems to have been properly welded . When I got it there was some burrs and I filed them down until it worked smoothly. These vices originally had pipe jaws below the main jaws which are missing. I believe these can still be purchased.This weighs a little over 50 pounds. The new price on this vice is around 1000.00 dollars. I believe this vice would give many years of good service. I would keep it for myself but ; my wife says I have to many vices already. So buy it
