Cowbell Large Long Braided Handle Handmade Cow Bell
I've made cowbells for a few years They,re not old but are built about the same way they did it a hundred years ago .The dimensions are about 15" tall 5" wide and about 3" thick The main body of the bell is about 5½" tall and the handle is about 9½" tall. The handle on this bell is braided out of 3/16 " round stock and has a forged hook on top. When I fire fire up my coal forge I put these in the smoke to give it the shiny black finish .The dingers and handles are made by me in my shop, the body of it is cut out of flat stock then shaped on the anvil and hand welded with an Oxy acetylene torch and baling wire for rod. It has a good tone and is built last. This one is definitely a one of a kind. I will probably not make another one with the forged hook on top.
